Mallika Sherawat - One of the sexiest women in the world

From: www.associatedcontent.com

Mallika Sherawat is quite possibly the sexiest woman you've never heard of. However, it'll only take a single look to realize why she's one of the sexiest women in the world. A product of Bollywood (just as the beautiful Aishwarya Rai), Mallika Sherawat's true name is Reema Lamba. The change in name came as a result of a decision to prevent confusion with another actress with the name Reema. Her acting name is not completely made up with Sherawat being none other than her mother's maiden name.

Sherawat's fame emerged through none other than her stunning appearance, rather than actual acting talent. In the first two films she appeared in (under the name Mallika Sherawat), Sherawat was appeared in a number of outfits that were considered racy in Indian cinema at that current time. However, Sherawat proved to be more than just a pretty face in skimpy attire with the release of her third film, Murder. In the film she starts as a woman wrongfully accused of murdering her ex-boyfriend. Based upon the plotline Murder is noted for being the Bollywood version of the Hollywood film Unfaithful starring Diane Lane and Richard Gere.

For her performance in Murder Sherawat received a best actress nomination from the Zee Cine Awards. While she did not go on to win the award, it proved that rather than just being a pretty face and body in a movie, she could support herself with her own acting talent.

After winning a small role in Jackie Chan's The Myth, Sherawat appeared at the Cannes Film Festival to help promote the film. It was this appearance that truly introduced her beauty to the world. She became the immediate center of attention and a dizzying array of flashes went off whenever she made an appearance in front of photographers. Much of her clothing appeared to be traditional Indian dress, though explicitly jazzed up to appear much sexier than it normally would.
